He made the Darkling body as a way to blend in with the people of Sonic's world.

How do you make the background images fit together so smooth and cohesive?

This one was just a collage of unevenly snipped images. Not sure if I can call it smooth, It's just the low opacity covers a lot of jank. Choosing messy images that have a lot going on also helps.

It was originally green, but it looked empty, so I changed it to white. Everyone says it looks like they're wearing socks
